Public Involvement This public involvement page, together with the rest of the Web site, has been developed to keep you informed during the Hartwood Marsh Road Design Project. Coordination will occur with local governments, permitting agencies and the public during the study process. Newsletters will be mailed periodically to elected and appointed officials, property owners, interested persons and media. Public Meetings Lake County conducted a Public Meeting to present the design plans for the Hartwood Marsh Road corridor. The purpose of the meeting was to describe the progress of the project to date and to solicit public input concerning the design developed for the project. The multi-disciplinary study team, consisting of planners, transportation engineers and environmental engineers, will work with the local residents, property owners, local officials, business owners and other interested parties to discuss the roadway design and how they relate to or impact the community. The comments from and the results of the meetings are being used to modify the roadway plans, as needed. A Public Meeting was held, after the 30% design was submitted, on March 27, 2006.
