Background

This project consists of two phases, Phase I (Preliminary Engineering) and Phase 2 (Roadway Design). The purpose of the Preliminary Engineering Phase is to document the findings of the engineering elements and provide a summary of certain elements of the environmental evaluation for the proposed four-lane roadway extension.

The Preliminary Engineering Phase is complete and the project has moved into the Design Phase. The design improvements include adding travel lanes to provide a four-lane typical section.  The proposed four-lane typical section  includes two 12-foot travel lanes in each direction, separated by a 22-foot grassed median.  Bike lanes on both sides, a sidewalk on one side and a multi-purpose trail on one side would also be provided along the roadway.

Phase 2 of the project is currently at the 100% plan phase and are under review. The plans can be reviewed through a downloadable file here.
